Lauren Walthour lives with her husband, Steve, and daughter, Sylvia, on the highest hill in the southern Texas hill country of eastern Medina County, northwest of San Antonio.

Born in Norman, Oklahoma, she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Letters from OU. She received her Masters in Public Administration in 1997 from UTSA. Lauren started creative writing when she was nine. She has published three chapbooks, (all currently out of print);

Her poems have appeared in San Antonio’s literary magazine, Voices de la Luna, the Express News and several other newspapers in south Texas.

It is an incomplete study of her struggle to process lack and loss, and negotiate peace with her world through two and one-half revolutions of the planet Saturn.
