Hotel Emma invites you to an intimate dinner in Supper’s Swiggle Key private dining room, celebrating Casa San Matías owner and legendary master tequilera Carmen Villareal, along with the final release of her career.
After decades guiding the historic distillery in the Jaliscan Highlands, Carmen is retiring from her role overseeing Casa San Matías. Among her many contributions to the tequila world, she is widely recognized for pioneering the Extra Añejo category.
This farewell tour marks the debut of her final tequila expression: The Last Drop No. 40 Extra Añejo, an exclusive collaboration between Casa San Matías and The Last Drop Distillers. Crafted from tequilas aged more than a decade in ex-bourbon barrels and finished for seven years in a port pipe, the spirit reflects Carmen’s legacy of experimentation with aging and cask influence. Bottled at 92.6 proof, fewer than 435 bottles exist worldwide.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated multi-course dinner from Chef John Brand and the culinary team, with each course paired with exceptional expressions from Casa San Matías, culminating with a tasting of The Last Drop No. 40 Extra Añejo itself.
